Recognizing that prayer is a privilege, a command, and an essential ministry in the church, the Prayer Ministry will increase the understanding of, dependence on and actual practice of prayer, and related spiritual disciplines (fasting, silence, historical prayer practices, solitude etc) amongst the worshipers at Orcas Island Community Church.

Pray for my husband, Jeff, this coming Monday morning, 7:15am. He is having surgery to remove a melanoma from his neck. Please pray for a successful removal with clean margins and smooth recovery!

We found out early Sat morning that the service for Marlin's sister-in-law, the last of his "youth group" is Monday Nov. 3rd. He's traveling alone to NW Ohio. Prayers for safe travels are appreciated. We're grateful to Ohio family that are helping him in many ways. Thank you!

My daughter Ruth was just diagnosed with cancer in at least 5 places in her body, head, spine, liver, breast, and ribs. She really needs Our Father to work a miracle of healing in her body. Please pray for her. Thank you!

Please pray for our marriage, for better understanding through love and kindness with less judgment and keeping score. This is a spiritual attack upon this household, affecting our young child as well. Please Heavenly Father look over us and cover us with your protection. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.

Follow up on my brother Joe Dreisch, Praise the Lord for a successful double bypass. Found out his carotid arteries do not need a surgical procedure and he does not have COPD. He is home and Praising the Lord for a great Medical team and answered prayer!
