  • Don Mills

    Pastoral Team

Don relocated to Orcas Island with his wife, Kathleen, in 2019 where he learned a timeless lesson from Genesis: in God's plan, retirement does not exist. There is only one day off in seven until the final day. With any thoughts of retirement in the rearview mirror, Don accepted the prompting to be Interim Pastor at O.I.C.C. His previous pastoral experiences included 25 years in four different denominations: Episcopal, Congregational, Free Methodist, and Presbyterian. Along the way he earned the B.A. in Biblical Studies (Seattle Pacific University), M.C.S. (Regent College), M.Div. and D. Min. degrees (Fuller Theological Seminary). As for guitars, he finally graduated to a Telecaster.

  • STEPHEN BAKER

    WORSHIP & TECH DIRECTOR

Stephen may not have been born in WA, but he lives and breathes island life. After moving to Orcas at age 3 and starting piano at age 5, he quickly discovered that he had a passion for music. Growing his repertoire into 12 different instruments (if you count 4 different saxophones), he cemented his love for worship starting at age 11, playing music throughout high school and college. Steve is excited to spread the joy of music in churches and other venues. He hopes he can bring his love for the Lord and music together in supporting Orcas Island Community Church in their future endeavors with Worship.

  • Alicia Wigfield

Office Manager & Neighbor to Neighbor Shelter Coordinator & orcas outreach team

Alicia and her family made the move to beautiful Orcas Island in 2021. Known for her big heart and love for community, she thrives on helping others and making meaningful connections with the people around her. An outdoor enthusiast, she especially enjoys fishing and finds peace and joy in being near the water. She’s also an avid supporter of her daughters’ athletic pursuits and can often be found cheering from the sidelines at their sporting events. When she’s not spending time with family or giving back to the community, Alicia brings energy, kindness, and a genuine passion for people to everything she does, making her a valued part of the Orcas Island community.
